Girard-Perregaux has introduced the new Laureato Absolute Chronograph 8Tech, a sport watch with a carbon and titanium composite case. The watch is the latest in the Laureato Absolute series, which is known for its robust and futuristic design.
The 8Tech case is made from a layered material that is created by combining carbon fibers with titanium powder. The layers are then stacked on top of each other at different angles and machined into the various case components. The finished case has a dynamic appearance with a slightly shimmering effect.
The watch measures 44mm in diameter and 15.15mm thick. It has a black rubber strap with gray contrast stitching and a deployant clasp made from black PVD titanium.
The dial of the Laureato Absolute Chronograph 8Tech is also black, with a sandwich-style construction that creates a dynamic depth. The upper layer of the dial has a matte sand-blasted finish, while the lower layer is made from luminous titanium. The chronograph registers are recessed and have a sand-blasted silver finish.
The watch is powered by the Caliber GP03300-1058 automatic movement, which has a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz) and a power reserve of approximately 46 hours.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Chronograph 8Tech is a limited edition of 250 pieces. It is priced at $27,800 USD.
