IWC, a renowned watchmaker with a longstanding association with motorsports, has unveiled two new models in their Pilot's Watch Performance Chronograph 41 series, specifically designed to celebrate their partnerships with Mercedes-AMG and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. These timepieces seamlessly blend the classic pilot's watch design with subtle yet impactful motorsports-inspired elements, creating a unique blend of elegance and racing spirit.
The IWC Pilot's Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG, crafted from grade 5 titanium, features a 41.1mm case with brushed surfaces and polished bevels. Its black ceramic tachymeter bezel, a hallmark of racing chronographs, adds a touch of motorsport flair. The dial, adorned with Super-LumiNova-coated Arabic numeral hour markers, offers a clear and legible display, while the trio of chronograph subdials ensures precise timing.
The IWC Pilot's Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, encased in Ceratanium, IWC's proprietary ceramic-like titanium alloy, exudes a sophisticated yet sporty appeal. The watch's black ceramic tachymeter bezel complements the matte black Ceratanium case, while the bright turquoise minute track, running seconds hand, and calendar discs add a touch of the team's signature color.
Both models are powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69385, a robust and precise automatic chronograph movement with a 46-hour power reserve. The movement features a column wheel, a traditional component in high-end chronographs, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
Both timepieces are available with either black rubber straps or matching H-link bracelets, all featuring IWC's EasX-CHANGE quick-release system for effortless strap changes.
Pricing for the IWC Pilot's Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG starts at $9,800 USD, while the Ceratanium IWC Pilot's Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team retails for $13,700 USD.
These new additions to the Pilot's Watch family embody the essence of IWC's motorsports heritage, seamlessly blending classic pilot's watch design with subtle yet impactful racing-inspired elements. They are a testament to IWC's expertise in crafting timepieces that are both elegant and performance-driven.
